Day 7: No Pictures Can Explain . . .
Today was a full day to say the least.
The sermon at church was about as impacting as one can get and the prayer we had was seriously something else. Afterwards the day was pretty much spent celebrating a friends birthday with the majority of Chi Alpha present.
We had lunch, saw a movie, and later went to dinner when for the first time during the whole day there was a break. I had been looking our for chance to share the Gospel but had come up short up until this moment. At around six o'clock we all went to do our own thing until prayer at nine so I came back home and tryed to get some things done before I headed out.
I prayed that God would give me a divine appointment and let me tell you, He delivered!
I started walking across campus heading towards Robs where we go to pray when all of a sudden I see this guy while crossing the street and know I have to catch up to him.
It turns out that my new friend is a krishna monk.
We start going through the survey and strike up a conversation along the way. A fourth of the way through campus I asked him how he became a monk and of course Jesus came up afterwards.
The talk went on for quite a while and we touched on many many things when we finally decided that it was time for us to stop. He told me that he never talks to missionaries because it's useless. This time it was different.
PRAISE JESUS!!!
Up until the very end he told me that the chances were slim that he would believe that Jesus was the only way because of all of the spiritual experiences he has had. I challenged him to give Jesus a chance. I told him that Jesus want's to give him a relationship with Himself and with God.
He told me that I could pray for him and I did praying that the Holy Spirit would show up in his life and that Jesus would make Himself known. Afterwards he wiped his eyes. I don't know all and everything that was going on in my new friends head but I know that Jesus is real.
Jesus will make Himself known because He loves this guy. In just a short time I noticed how much I cared for him. How much more does God love him?
Lesson of the day
Give God all the glory always and take advantage of all of the things that He gives you to accomplish a task. There are people out there with problems that no one but God can solve.
