Day 193-238: Change @ the Workplace

Thanks to a dependable revolving door atmosphere where I work I only have to wait a matter of weeks to share Jesus with a whole new crop of people. The fact that I know that 98% of my co-workers today are long gone tomorrow also helps the sharing because I know I only have a limited amount of time and I NEED to make it count. Often times I do less when I feel I have all the time in the world to do something and I absolutely HATE wasting my time. It's a hard fight to get motivated but I intend to win that struggle.

In the last week I was able to share with two people at work. The first kid was a gal who was going to a church on campus and then, thanks to her boyfriend, started going only sometimes because he doesn't like "contemporary" church services. The decision he came up with was to simply just not go to church and she went with it. I still don't know exactly why she started to tell me so much about all that since it was the first day I had worked with her and I was training her to do one of the most disgusting jobs there is to do at Raising Cane's. Perhaps the whole "So do you go to church?" question did it or maybe, just maybe . . . it was a God thing. I'm going with that latter :-)

Either way while weighing the chicken, and avoiding getting our chart all gooey, I just plain told her that taking time away from God because of her boyfriends hangup wasn't cool and that they should not only go to church but try to get involved in a small group so that they would get to know people and whatnot. Her reaction surprised me more than my frankness with her. She told me that she was going to start going to church and that if her boyfriend didn't like it oh well, lol! YES, PRAISE GOD!!! I want to make it clear that I hope he goes of course but yeah, either way I'm glad she said all that and hope she goes through with it. You can pray on that.

The second guy I got to talk to was a guy who I'm chums with who is getting his Masters in Edu. which automatically makes him the coolest guy there, lol! The fact that he wants to teach English is also very bonus, hah! My bud is just about the busiest guy I know but he will talk to you and listen better than almost anyone I know. Right now we are talking about Jesus and why He is so important. Work sort of makes it hard to keep things going sometimes but you all can pray that I get some time to talk with him and in that time have the right words. Prayer for him would be sweet as well :-)

It's been a while and blogging has obviously not been my thing for a while but maybe I will make it back sooner next time. Either way it goes God bless and keep sharing Jesus :-D
